Matt

Matt Haigh

Founder / Director

Bio

Founder and director of Weatherstone Property Inspections, LLC

Matt has been in and around the Construction and Real Estate world for most of his life. He has a Business Administration Degree from Lawrence Tech University and has been the owner of a building company constructing new homes in Macomb, Oakland and St. Clair Counties. In addition to being a licensed builder, he is a registered State of Michigan municipal inspector and certified well and septic evaluator through MCHD and MSU. Combining the renovation of turn-of-the-century homes and a decade long role as a code official for the Township of Shelby, he brings a rounded approach to the Home Inspection Industry. 

The culmination of Matt’s experience has evolved into his work in the home inspection industry over the last decade along with his team of Certified Master Inspectors. Sharing knowledge of the industry through teaching is one of his passions.

Zach

Zach Haigh

Inspector

Bio

Zach is one of our Certified Master Inspectors and our Lead Inspector. His attention to detail and years of experience make him a valuable member of our team. In addition to performing inspections and training new inspectors, Zach is moving into taking on more administrative responsibilities within Weatherstone.

Corey

Corey Jalbert

Inspector

Bio

Corey is one of our Certified Master Inspectors with 10 years of experience. Additionally, Corey has a degree in Fire Science from Lake Superior State University, which adds to his value as a member of the Weatherstone Family. Corey is known for his friendliness, attention to detail, and sense of humor. When not working, Corey enjoys spending time with his family.

Dan

Dan Mylnarek

Inspector

Bio

Dan is a highly valued member of our Weatherstone team! He came to us with a BA degree in Fine Arts from The College for Creative Studies, which speaks to his eye for detail. Dan carries many inspection certifications and is continually growing his knowledge base and skill set. Dan is known for his warm, friendly communication style, his ability to put clients at ease, and his attention to detail. Outside of inspecting, Dan has a passion for woodworking, sculpting, and painting.

Mike

Mike Delorenzo

Inspector & Realtor

Bio

After teaching for 30 years, Mike became a realtor and an inspector. He has a BA in Education and a Master’s Degree in Leadership. Having worked alongside his father doing home building and improvements, Mike has a great deal of hands-on knowledge. He has obtained many inspection certifications through InterNACHI and is continually expanding his knowledge base. His experience in education makes him an excellent communicator with both clients and agents. Mike is passionate about biking, hunting, and spending time with his family.

Alice

Alice Johnson

Senior Administrator / Client Care Director

Bio

Alice is our Office Administrator and Client Care Director. She is the glue that holds the inspection calendar together. Her experience is well rounded as a former homeschool mom and Director of one of Metro Detroit’s largest homeschool cooperatives. In addition, she has a past career as a Legal Secretary. Alice has been with Weatherstone since 2017 and is a fantastic addition to our team. Kindness, amazing attention to detail, and highly efficient describes her work style. Alice also has a hidden talent as a creative soap maker extraordinaire.

Pat

Pat Martelle

Human Resources Director/Client Care Coordinator

Bio

Pat joined Weatherstone in 2020 as part of the Client Care Team. She comes to us with a BA in Human Resources Development and an MSW in Clinical Social Work. Currently, she serves as Client Care Coordinator and Human Resources Director. Her favorite parts of her roles are chatting with agents, encouraging clients who may be nervous about their pending purchase, encouraging co-workers, problem solving, and conflict resolution. When not working, Pat enjoys hanging out with her family, crocheting, and playing board games.

Joel

Joel Webb

Growth Development Representative

Bio

Joel is our Growth and Development Representative who oversees growing the partnerships of Weatherstone with Realtors and Real Estate Offices, along with developing Weatherstone’s marketing strategy, developing educational content, and resources for realtors and clients. Joel has been with Weatherstone since April of 2021. His past experiences working in Real Estate, construction and doing commercial videography gives him the skillset needed market with those in the Real Estate Industry. Joel continues his own personal education by working towards a master’s degree in Theology. When not working Joel enjoys being outdoors, being active in nature, playing music, or sitting anywhere to read a book.

Abbigail

Abbigail Rizzo

Client Care & Growth Representative

Bio

Abbigail is our Client Care and Growth Representative who works to build and maintain relationships with our real estate partners and helps to coordinate our schedule. She is studying to be a real estate agent and has a BA degree in Fine Art. She loves connecting with people and supporting her community, which makes her a valuable asset to Weatherstone’s Growth Team. When Abbigail is not working, she loves creating art and traveling the world. She has been with Weatherstone since Fall of 2022 and can’t wait to see what the future holds as she grows within the company!

Carrie

Carrie Franklin

Client Care Team

Bio

Carrie became part of our Client Care Team in 2022. She handles scheduling and calls a couple of evenings and on the weekends. When she isn’t scheduling, she is teaching horseback lessons or spending time with her husband and pup outdoors

Bill VanSlembrouck

Inspector

Bio

Bill joined the Weatherstone Team in 2019 as a part-time inspector. With a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Lawrence Technological University and many years in the automotive and defense industries, Bill has the mindset and experience that make him an outstanding inspector. His dedication to detail and love of advancing his personal knowledge make him highly skilled at inspecting. When he isn’t working, he loves spending time with his family, running, biking, golfing, and would be hard pressed to say no to a slice of pizza!
