Home inspections give you a lot of important information about your potential new home. Even if a structure looks clean and neat inside and out, you would not know everything about it until you were living in it. So take advantage of an inspection and get the most from it.
Document the Inspection
Check with your inspector to determine when you can join the inspection, as some professionals prefer to do part of the process alone for easier concentration. Bring a camera and possibly a device for recording videos. Even though inspectors generally have their own equipment, they are using it for their own documentation. Images you gather can be useful in further price negotiations as well as references if any work is needed. Getting to know a house is part of the fun of living in it.
