Protect Your Home From the Damage of Mold

By March 31, 2019No Comments

The unfortunate truth is that homes are built out of the exact materials that mold loves to eat: dead organic material. Wood, paper, wallpaper, leather, upholstery, grout, paint, plaster, carpet, and insulation all fall into this category. Even some kinds of cement include organic chemicals.
This means that mold can cause serious damage to nearly any part of your home, although it is most common in bathrooms, kitchens, and basements. Some studies suggest that about half of homes in the U.S. suffer from some kind of water leak, which creates the perfect environment for mold to grow. If the home was built during a rainy season, you may be even more vulnerable to mold. Do not allow this fungus to eat away at your home, causing damage and lowering your property value.
