Why You Should Have a PreListing Inspection

By September 16, 2019No Comments

If you are planning to sell a house this summer (or any season, really), it is important to consider all the benefits you can get from a pre-listing inspection. While it may seem unnecessary, especially when a potential buyer will likely have their own inspection, having one done yourself can alert you to issues you are completely unaware of.

Many people, even living in relatively new homes, don’t necessarily know every detail of their house. With a pre-listing inspection, you can very quickly and easily become informed. You can determine if there are necessary repairs that need to be done before the home hits the market. Your potential buyers will have the home inspected themselves, so you might as well figure things out proactively.

In the summer, this is also a great way to ensure that the central air conditioning is working well and keeping the house cool for showings. A hot, stuffy house can be very hard to sell.
